Maude Wade Robinson, age 96 of Puryear passed away Sunday, March 8, 2020 at Henry County Medical Center. Her funeral service will be graveside at 2:00PM Wednesday, March 11, 2020 at Puryear City Cemetery with Bro. Mackie Gallimore officiating. Burial will follow. Visitation will be at McEvoy Funeral Home from 11:00AM - 1:00PM Wednesday, March 11, 2020 prior to the graveside service. Pallbearers will be John and Austin Robinson, and Mark and Jordan Dobberstein. Honorary Pallbearers will be Caroline and Rebecca Robinson. Maude Wade Robinson was born June 22, 1923 in Whitlock, Tennessee to the late Benjamin Franklin Wade and the late Nell Esther Nance Wade. On May 9, 1943 she married John "Kenwood" Robinson and he survives in Puryear, Tennessee. Along with her husband, Mrs. Robinson is survived by her daughter, Nelda (Mark) Dobberstein of Brentwood, TN; son, John (Leslie) Robinson of Madison, AL; four grandchildren: Jordan (Dava) Dobberstein, and Caroline, Austin, and Rebecca Robinson; and two brothers: Jake (Judy) Wade of Paris and Jimmy (Betty) Wade of Whitlock. Besides her parents, Mrs. Robinson was also preceded in death by a sister, Imogene "Jean" Wade Stephens and four brothers: Robert, Milton, Dorris, and Ruben Wade. Maude Robinson was married to Kenwood Robinson for over 76 years. She was a member of Puryear Church of Christ. She was an avid canner and she loved gardening and cooking. She also loved feeding the birds. Mrs. Robinson worked for many years at Puryear Drug Store and Dobbins Grocery. Visitation McEvoy Funeral Home, Inc.
