Maudean Larue Wilkinson Mathenie, age 88 of Paris, TN passed away Saturday September 5, 2015 at her residence. She was born in Walnut, Arkansas to the late William Talmage and Maude Alice Forrestor Wilkinson. On November 14, 1947 she married Russell "Red" Mathenie, Sr., he preceded June 27, 1989. Survived by a daughter: Brenda Gwinn Magee, Paris; son: Russell Mathenie, Jr.; daughter-in-law: Mona Gwinn, Paris; grandchildren: Felicia Harguess, Robin (Christine) Hampton, Robert (Molly) Hampton, Dennis Gwinn, Beverly (Rick) Beare, Rebecca (John) Falzarano; special caregiver: Joann Niswonger, Paris; several great and great great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Preceded by a son: Kenneth Gwinn, June 29, 2006; son-in-law: William "Bill" Magee, April 5, 2015; sisters: Cecil Blackwood, Lucille Bomar; brothers: Edward Wilkinson, Dorris Lee Wilkinson, Ralph Wilkinson, Russell Wilkinson; grandchildren: Scottie Mathenie, Clay Mathenie and Michael Gwinn. Mrs. Mathenie worked as a seamstress at Salant & Salant formerly of Paris and was a homemaker. Maudean loved to read, sew and baby sit for family, friends and neighbors.
