Melinda Thatcher, age 57 of Cottage Grove, passed away Thursday, September 8, 2016 at St. Thomas Midtown in Nashville. Her graveside service was conducted by Bro. Jamie Mandrell Saturday, September 10 at Walker Cemetery. Burial followed and no visitation was scheduled. Melinda Jane Pinkston Thatcher was born September 26, 1958 in Paris, Tennessee to the late Ben Rhea Pinkston and the late Jane Elizabeth Vaughn Melloy. She is survived by two daughters, Regina (Clint) Graff of Cottage Grove, TN and Sandra (Kevin) O'Dell of Puryear, TN; two sons, Loren (Amanda) Bechard of Martin, TN and Charles (Veronica) Bechard of Wilmington, OH; three sisters, Sandra (John) Holcomb of Cottage Grove, TN, Audie (Mark) Melloy of Murray, KY, and Amanda Hoofman of Paris, TN; three brothers, Richard (Courtney) Pinkston of Puryear, TN, Ben Pinkston of Illinois, and Allen Pinkston of Paducah, KY; twelve grandchildren; and other aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and many very special friends. Mrs. Thatcher was the current mayor of Cottage Grove, Tennessee. SERVICES Graveside Service
