He was born in Steele, Missouri to the late Joseph Hardy and Ollie Lee Howard Cheek. He married Bertha Ann Cheek on June 22, 1957, she preceded October 25, 1992. Survived by daughters: Tina (Will) Bailey, Clarksville, TN, Sheila (Randy) Salt, Clarksville, TN; son: Larry E. Cheek, Clarksville, TN; sisters: Estelle (Max) Erwin, Springville, TN, Ella Mae (Eddie) Cales, Michigan, Della (Frank) Richards, Michigan; grandchildren: Marcus Velez, Tony Velez, Brent Cheek, Derek Rhoades, Alyssa Cheek, Cherish Hillman, Justin McElroy, Gracie Cheek, Lilly Cheek; great-grandchildren: Kirsten Cheek, Anton Velez, Joel Cheek, Asher Rhoades, Isabel Cheek; survied by numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
