Michael Ray Snyder, 75, passed away on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at Jackson-Madison County Hospital in Jackson, Tennessee. He will be cremated, and a celebration of life will be held at First Christian Church in Paris, Tennessee, at a later date.

Mike was born October 24th, 1950, in Paris, Tennessee to the late Russell Ray (Snoopy) and Katie (Jean) Snyder Hart. He married Cindy Wall on March 19th, 1982, and they enjoyed 44 years of marriage together.

Mike was a member of First Christian Church. He loved many different types of music and sang in the church choir as a “Beefy Bass.” He dearly loved his family, especially his grandchildren. Mike was an avid reader and a member of the Paris Elks Lodge.

Mike is survived by his wife Cindy Snyder of Paris, Tennessee, his daughter Jackie (Shannon) Dossey of Buchanan, Tennessee, his brother, Mark (Vicki) Snyder of Paris, Tennessee, two wonderful grandchildren, Calan McManus of Waxahachie, Texas and Koby McManus of Martin, Tennessee, and his Aunt, Glenda James, of Paris, Tennessee.

Mike is also survived by several nieces and nephews:

Kari (Kevin) Pulley, Meredith (Will) Tidwell, Marybeth Wall, Natalie Wall, Cathy Wall, Laura (Lee) Van Cleave, Patricia (Dale) Glasenapp. Justin Watkins, Judd (Chloe) Shafer, John (April) Shafer, Brad Wall, and Jason (Niki) Jones.

He is also survived by his sisters-in-law: Theresa (Bob) Shafer, Ann (Richard) Wall, Jackie Jones, and brother-in-law, John (Laura) Wall.

Besides his parents, Mike was also preceded in death by his in-laws Bob Shafer, Shelby Shafer, Richard Wall, and Mike Wall.

The family is requesting that any donations be made to First Christian Church of Paris, Tennessee and to the WG Rhea Public Library also here in Paris.
