Mike Atchison, age 66, of Paris, TN passed away Thursday, February 11, 2016 at his residence in Paris. Funeral service 12:00PM Saturday, February 13, 2016 at McEvoy Funeral Home with Bro. Johnny Farmer of Bethany Missionary Baptist Church officiating, burial will follow at Foundry Hill Cemetery. Visitation 9:30AM until service time Saturday. Named as pallbearers are Matt Crank, Larry Brannon, Micky Hart, Charlie French, Jerry Mustain and Joe Page. Honorary pallbearers are Jacob Pinson, Dale Thompson, Johnny Wynn, Gary Hastings, Paul McDaniel, Richard Thompson and Gary Jones. Mike was born in Puryear, TN to the late William "Sam" and Dorothy Paschall Atchison. On March 19, 1971 he married Betty Smith Atchison, she survives, Paris, TN. Survived by daughters: Jenny (Ryan) Hastings, Paris, TN, Jodie (George) Fields, Puryear, TN; sons: Jeff (Veronica) Atchison, Paris, TN, Justin (Leanne) Atchison, Franklin, TN; sisters: Nancy (Terry) Bucy, Portland, TN, Shelia Garrett, Portland, TN; brother: David (Regina) Atchison, Lexington, TN; grandchildren: Taylor McSwain, Amber Hastings, Eric Hastings, Evan Hastings, Sally Hastings, Charlie Hastings, Landen Marshall and Karsen Marshall. Mike was Baptist by faith. He worked with the Henry County Highway Department for 15 years and formerly worked as a Codes Officer with Henry County Sheriffs Department for 23 years. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed his many fishing trips with his brother.
