Mildred Bomar Kuykendall, age 84 of Paris passed away Monday, January 20, 2020 at Henry County Healthcare Center. Her funeral service will be 2:00 PM Friday, January 24, 2020 at McEvoy Funeral Home with Randy Kuykendall officiating. Burial will follow at Paschall Cemetery. Visitation will be after 11:00 AM Friday, January 24, 2020 at McEvoy Funeral Home prior to the service. Pallbearers will be Christopher Lowry, Jamie Orr, Rickie Orr, Russ Orr, Keith Kuykendall, and Steve Kuykendall. Honorary Pallbearers will be Gary Fletcher and Chris Lowry, Sr. Mildred Bomar Kuykendall was born February 16, 1935 in Paris, Tennessee to the late Moree Bomar Hawkins. On February 2, 1957 she married Harold Lloyd Kuykendall and he preceded her in death on December 22, 1992. She later married Jim Maher and he survives in Paris, TN. Besides her mother and first husband, Mrs. Kuykendall was also preceded in death by two sons in infancy: Kenneth Dale Work in 1950 and Stacey Lloyd Kuykendall in 1967; her sister, Johnie Lowry in 2004; and her maternal grandparents, Weldon and Bess Bomar who raised her and her sister. Mrs. Kuykendall is also survived by her nephew, William (Rose) Lowry of Paris; great niece, Dana (Bobby) Bowden of Paris; great nephew, Chris Lowry of Paris; great-great nieces: Erin Lowry of Paris and Elizabeth Lowry of Nashville; great-great nephew, Christopher (Kendall) Lowry of Louisville, KY; and great-great-great nieces: Amora Stigall and Meadow Lowry, both of Paris. Mildred Kuykendall was a member of Spring Creek Baptist Church where she played piano for 24 years and was the church clerk for 25 years.
