Mrs. Pennington's funeral service will be Sunday August 23, 2009, 2:00 P.M. at McEvoy Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Walker Cemetery, visitation will be Saturday 4:00 until 8:00 and after 11:00 Sunday. She is survived by a daughter Janice (Mike) Pennington Waggoner, Gallatin, TN, son; Ricky D. (Mary Ann) Pennington, Goodlettesville, TN, sister-in-law; Ruth (Jay) Van Patten, Paris, grandchildren; Chris, Jeff, Ricky, Jr., and David Pennington, Scott D. Phillips, great-grandchildren; Stephanie, John and Brittney Pennington, Sabrina Anne and Ethan Scott Phillips. Preceded by her parents; William and Pernie Oliver Grooms, husband; John F. Pennington, son; Frank H. Pennington, sisters; Jane Miles and Jean Phelps, sister-in-laws; Patria Maddox and Ozella Hunt, brother-in-laws; Connie, Clifford, Pierce, Lewis, Curtis and Bill Pennington. She was a Methodist and formerly worked with GTE in North Lake, IL.
