Mildred Dortch Smith, age 93 of Jacksonville, FL passed away Monday July 27, 2015 in Jacksonville. Her funeral service will be Tuesday August 4, 2015 at McEvoy Funeral Home with Dr. John Smith of Fairview Baptist Church officiating, burial will follow at Memorial Cemetery. Named as pallbearers are Jack King, Billy Cooper, Ray Mulacek, Billy Dortch, Larry Dortch and Bart Sturdivant. Visitation 5:00 - 7:00PM Monday and after 9:00AM Tuesday. She was born in Springville, TN to the late Hurley and Stella Gray Dortch. On March 7, 1942 she married William Leo Smith he preceded September 16, 2004. Survived by a son: William Geren (Ellen Cooper) Smith, Ponte Vedra, FL; sisters: Betty Taylor, Paris, TN, Janice Anderson, Augusta, GA, Nancy Spikes, Big Rock, TN; brothers: Billy Dortch, Paris, TN, Eddie Dortch, Paris, TN, Larry Dortch, Paris, TN; nieces: Jan Mulacek, Warrenville, IL, Debbie Snow, Apache Junction, AZ, Sandy Varney, Beamer, TN. Preceded by sisters: Willene Dunn, Hazel Gladys McKenzie and a niece: Linda Ludwick. Mrs. Smith was a member of Deer Meadow Baptist Church in Jacksonville, FL.
