Minister Larry D. Kennely, age 66 of Paris passed away Sunday, November 24, 2019 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital. His funeral service will be 1:00 PM Saturday, November 30, 2019 at The Church of The Living God Temple #347, 719 Gwen Street, Paris, TN 38242. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM Saturday at the church prior to the service. Pallbearers will be Mitchell Taylor, Terrell Burton, James Taylor, James Martin, and Gary Sanders. Honorary pallbearers will be Michael Williams, Sr., Terry Tyler, William Tharpe and Aaron Dolberry. Larry D. Kennely was born August 29, 1953 in Henry County, Tennessee to the late Charlie Kennely and the late Jennie Marie Olive Kennely. On September 12, 1993 he married Sarah Williams Kennely and she survives in Paris, TN. Mr. Kennely is also survived by two daughters: Jacqueline Renee (Larry) Terry of Colorado Springs, CO and Delicia Michelle Bennett of Murray, KY; one goddaughter, April Burton of Memphis, TN; one godson, Terrell Burton of Memphis, TN; one sister, Joyce (Anthony) Burton of Paris, TN; four grandchildren: Darin Eaton II, Brian Bennett, Justin Eaton and Shamar Browder; six sisters-in-law: ZoraBell Williams, Charlestyne Upchurch, Helen Scott, Marilyn (William) Tharpe, Sandra (Boss) McNeal and Lottie Hutcherson; two brothers-in-law: Elder Raymond Williams and Dannie Williams, Sr.; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Besides his parents, Mr. Kennely was also preceded in death by a sister, Carolyn Kennely. Mr. Kennely was a member of The Church of The Living God Temple #347. He graduated from H.C.H.S. in 1971 and then he received his bachelor's degree in business from Murray State University. He worked for Dana Corp. for 10 years and H.C.H.S. for 5 years as a Teacher's Assistant. In August of 2008 he was called into the ministry. He played the guitar, keyboards and started the gospel group "TheDoRights". He loved his cars and riding motorcycles.
