Ms. Minnie Watson Thompson, age 95 of Paris, Tennessee passed away on Friday, June 7, 2019 at her residence. Her graveside service will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Thursday, June 13 at Lyons Municipal Cemetery, 821 Grand Avenue, Lyons, Kansas 67554 with Birzer Funeral Home of Lyons handling arrangements. Minnie Mae Watson Thompson was born July 9, 1923 in Avant, Oklahoma to the late Morgan Franklin Watson and the late Mildred Ann Faught Watson. She married John A. Thompson on October 27, 1945 and he preceded her in death on July 5, 2008. Minnie is survived by her daughter, Anne (Jack) Russell of Paris; her son John R. (Tania) Thompson of Inmann, Kansas; seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and sister Shirley Ann Zempel of Minneapolis, Minnesota. Besides her parents and husband, Ms. Thompson is also preceded in death by two brothers, James M. Watson and Robert E. Watson. SERVICES Graveside Service
