Funeral service 2:00 PM Saturday at the First United Methodist Church with Dr. Rob Martin officiating, burial will follow at Memorial Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers are: Carlos Owens, Edgar Rhodes, Jack Mayner, Barton Robison, Randy Thompson, George Todd, family and friends. Visitation beginning at 12:00 Noon at the church. She was born in Henry County, TN to the late Sol Taylor and Katie Lee Fielder Willoughby. On December 16, 1948 she married Neely Harwell Owens, he preceded January 24, 2000. Survived by daughters: Regina (Barton) Robison, Paris, TN, DeLora Owens (and friend Jack Mayner), Houston, TX; sons: Larry Lee (Harriet) Owens, Baltimore, MD, Neely Owens, Paris, TN, Terry Lynn (Cathy) Owens, Puryear, TN; eighteen grandchildren; thirty great-grandchildren; two great great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded by sisters: Bernice Workman, Orilla Copedge, Hortence Rhodes, Cauzette Crowell; brothers: Kenneth Willoughby, Raymond Taylor Willoughby, Porter Willoughby, Kelly Willoughby; a grandson: John Booth and a great great-granddaughter: Mary Catherine Allen. Mrs. Owens was a member of the First United Methodist Church. She retired from Owens General Contractor where she was the office manager.
