Monte York, age 76 of Paris, passed away on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at West TN Healthcare Henry Co. Hospital. His service will be held graveside at 2:00 PM on Sunday, December 14, 2025, at Liberty Church Cemetery, 5585 Hillard Road, McKenzie, TN, conducted by Alan Trull.

Monte York was born January 29, 1949, in Carroll County, TN, to the late Aubrey and Lillian Mae Reynolds York. He married Shirley Bucy York on May 9, 1981, and she preceded him in death on November 8, 2015.

Monte was a Christian who loved "Trade Day" on Tuesdays in Huntingdon and loved spending time with his family. He was always tinkering with something.

Monte is survived by his daughter, Melody (Shane) Heath of Paris; grandchildren: Brady Heath and Sidney (Cam) Cagle; sister, June Coleman of Greenfield; stepson, Alan (Tricia) Trull of Paris; stepdaughters: Jeanie Yates of Nashville, Dianne (Mike) Bullman of Henderson, TN, and Kelly Buffington of Paris; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Besides his parents and wife, Monte was also preceded in death by his brother, Gene York.
