Nancy Lampkins, age 85 of Cottage Grove, passed away Monday, November 3, 2025, at her residence. Her funeral service will be Sunday, November 9, 2025, at 2:00 PM at McEvoy Funeral Home with Craig Peevyhouse officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be after 12:00 PM Sunday, prior to the service at 2:00. Pallbearers will be Dennis Bush, Jr., Josh Bush, Justin McDaniel, James Painter, and Drake Tharpe. Honorary Pallbearers will be Trent Ball, Jackson Lampkins, and Michael Blake Terry.

Nancy Lampkins was born June 12, 1940, in Burlington, IA, to the late Robert Paul and Beatrice Margarite Howell Wells. On October 18, 1959, she married Earle Lee Lampkins, and he preceded her in death in October 2001.

Nancy was a Baptist. She loved puzzles, TV, and most especially her family.

Ms. Lampkins is survived by daughters: Kelly (Jeff) Smith of Paris, and Amy (Dennis) Bush of Cottage Grove; sons: Leelan (Kat) Lampkins of Anderson, SC, and Jason (Summer) Lampkins of Paris; nine grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Besides her parents and husband, Nancy was also preceded in death by a son, Gaylon Edward Lampkins; sisters: Rosalie Wellman, Pat Simmons, and Barbara Gelsthorpe; and a brother, Kipp Wells.
