Nelda Claydean Cantrell of Springville, TN, passed away Sunday, April 6, 2025, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital. Her funeral service will be at 1:00 PM on Friday, April 11, 2025, at McEvoy Funeral Home, with Frank Bartozzi officiating. Burial will follow at Antioch United Methodist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be after 11:00 AM Friday, prior to the service. Nelda Claydean Cantrell was born March 11, 1935, in Linden, TN, to the late Carlos Clayton Bates and the late Edna Clarice Aldridge. She married Jerry Cantrell on December 10, 1983, and he preceded her in death on December 10, 2006. Ms. Cantrell worked and retired with Bellsouth Telephone Co. as an operator and in repair. Nelda is survived by her son, Ricky (Angela) Ethridge of Humbolt, TN, and her grandson, Zayn (Urickya) Vaux of Jackson, TN.
