Norman D. Yoder, age 61 of Paris passed away Sunday, January 27, 2019 at his residence. His funeral service will be Thursday, January 31, 2019 at Bethel Mennonite Church with Pastor Henry Nissley of Calvary Mennonite Church officiating. Burial will follow at New Boston Cemetery. Visitation will be at Bethel Mennonite Church Wednesday from 2:00-4:00 PM and continue from 6:00-8:00 PM. Pallbearers will be Derrick Yoder, Ryan Yoder, Austin Yoder, Kendal Yoder, Zachary Yoder, and Andrew Yoder.
Norman D. Yoder was born October 29, 1957 in Stuarts Draft, Virginia to the late Simon A. Yoder and the late Arlene S. Yoder. On February 16, 1978 he married Dorothy Miller Yoder and she survives in Paris, TN. Mr. Yoder is also survived by three daughters: JoAnna (Donald) Schrock of Green Ridge, MO, Keturah "Kaye" (Galen) Schrock of Paris, TN and Phyllis (Ethan) Mast of Lincoln, MO; five sons: Olen (Charity) Yoder of Mt. Olive, MS, James (Elsie) Yoder of Paris, TN, Eugene (Caroline) Yoder of Southaven, MS, Philip Yoder of Macon, MS and Dennis (Rose) Yoder of Paris, TN; twenty-two grandchildren; three sisters: Pauline (Alvin) Schrock of Olney, IL, Martha (David) Wengerd of Standish, CA and Viola (John) Yoder of Kenton, TN; six brothers: Alvin (Emma) Yoder of Lamar, MO, Elwood (Julia) Yoder of Russellville, KY, Elmer (Pauline) Yoder of Paris, TN, Everett (Elmina) Yoder of Paris, TN, Lyndon (Joann) Yoder of Bloomfield, MO and Ralph (Janice) Yoder of Paris, TN; one brother-in-law, Jonas Schrock of Litchfield, CA; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Besides Mr. Yoder's parents, he was also preceded in death by a sister, Kathy Schrock.
Mr. Yoder was a member of Calvary Mennonite Church. He was owner and co-founder of Yoder Bros Meat Processing. He loved serving the community through the family operated business.
