Mrs. Oberta Graves, age 97, of Paris, TN, died Tuesday, March 29, 2011 at Henry County Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, April 2, 2011, McEvoy Chapel at 2:00 p.m. Dr. Trent Bullock, of First Baptist Church, Paris, TN will officiate. Burial will take place Saturday, April 9, 2011 at Bridger Cemetery, Bridger, MT.
Mrs. Graves was married on June 13, 1934 to Mr. Gayle Grave who preceded her in death on January 23, 1985.
Mrs. Oberta is survived by sons; James (Helen) Graves, Paris, TN, William (Anita) Graves, Worland, MT. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 8 great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by parents; William Stevenson and Ora Belle Toms Richardson and a sister; Grace Dexter.
Mrs. Graves was a homemaker and member of the First Baptist Church of Worland, WY. She farmed with her husband in Hart County, KY during the Great Depression era, later they moved to Montana where they lived and worked for over 50 years. She was a member of the Eastern Star for over 50 years and a violinist for 85 years. She enjoyed bowling and any outdoor activities, including motorcycle riding and fishing.
