Funeral service 10:00AM Saturday at McEvoy Funeral Home with Hospice Chaplain, Arthur Bain officiating, burial will follow at Maplewood Cemetery. Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Visitation 4:00 - 8:00PM Friday and after 9:00AM Saturday. She was born in Whitlock, TN to the late Walter Alexander and Nellie Mae Jobe Jackson. On December 26, 1945 she married John W. Barnett, he preceded April 4, 2005. Survived by daughters: Paula Lane Barnett, Paris, Pam (Lanny French) McKenzie, Clarksville; sons: Mike (Vicki) Barnett, Paris, Barry (Lee Anne) Barnett, Camden, Brad Barnett, Paris; grandchildren: ten; great-grandchildren: nine and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded by six sisters: Luberta Vaughn, Sue Belle Collins, Kathleen Dunn, Mattie Lee Clark, Clydie Mae McGonigal, Geneva Nell Murray; three brothers: James Jackson, Wade Jackson and J.B. Jackson. Mrs. Barnett was a longtime member of the First United Methodist Church. She was a Bellsouth telephone operator, formerly worked for the Paris P.I. and was a homemaker. She loved her family and was an avid lover of pets. Her hobbies included fishing and gardening.
