Mrs. Patsy Ann Latimer Oliver, age 83 of Paris, Tennessee passed away on Friday, August 5, 2022 at the Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville. Her funeral service will be 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, August 9, 2022 at McEvoy Funeral Home with Bro. Paul Veazey officiating. Burial will follow the service in Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery. Named as pallbearers are Eddie Thompson, Zack Latham, Steve Green, Daniel Green, Jeff Taylor, and Paul McDaniel. Visitation for Mrs. Oliver is scheduled from 4:00 until 7:00 P.M. Monday, August 8, 2022 and again on Tuesday after 10:00 A.M. until time of service at McEvoy. Patsy Latimer Oliver was born January 16, 1939 in Houston County, Tennessee to the late C.A. Latimer and the late Pearl Grice Latimer. She married Terry Oliver on April 2, 1961 and he preceded her in death on October 31, 2018. Patsy is survived by her daughter, Donna Thompson and husband, Eddie of Puryear; granddaughters, Emma Kate Thompson of Puryear and Cayley Lawley and husband, Taylor of Jackson; and by special caregivers and friends, Esther Parkin, Angela Phifer, Sara Cox and Brooke Walker. Besides her parents and husband, Patsy is also preceded in death by her sister, Dorothy Gill and by her brothers, J.B. Latimer, Tillman Latimer, and Charles Rex Latimer. Mrs. Oliver was a member of First Baptist Church in Paris. She worked and retired from Midland-Brake. Patsy enjoyed flowers and gardening, spoiling her grandchildren and was an avid sports fan, especially of the Tennessee Vols.
