Paul "Twister" Smothers, Jr., age 59 of Paris, passed away on Tuesday March 24, 2015 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital in Jackson. Mr. Smothers was a member of TVCC of Paris. He attended many technology classes and received multiple degrees in business and computers. A family member said that Paul had been disabled most of his life from childhood polio and that he enjoyed spending time with his special pet and friend "Minnie" a miniature Chihuahua. His is survived by his wife Lorelle King Smothers of Paris, they were married July 6, 2009. His daughters: Crystal Mayo, Paris, April Smothers, Evansville, IN, Paige Smothers, Evansville, IN; son: Paul Smothers, III, Texas; sister: Patricia Baylock, Dover; brothers: Bill (Sonya) Smothers, Paris and Alvin (Christina) Smothers, Union City. He was preceded in death by his parents: Paul E. Smothers, Sr., Brenda Hatcher Smothers; and a nephew: Michael Smothers. A celebration of life memorial service will be held at 2:00PM Saturday, March 28, 2015 at TVCC of Paris with Bro. Steve Gallimore officiating.
