Mrs. Pearl Carree Peery Coures, age 92, of Paris, TN, died Thursday, January 13, 2011 at St. Thomas Hospital, in Nashville, TN. Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, January 17, 2011, at 2:00 p.m. at McEvoy Funeral Home with burial to follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday at McEvoy Funeral Home from 5-8 p.m. and after 12:30 p.m. on Monday until service time. Mrs. Coursey was married to Jessie Ray Coursey, who preceded her May 28, 1990. Mrs. Coursey is survived by a daughter; Peggy (Jimmy) Williams, Paris, TN, grandchildren; David Williams, New York City, NY, Tim Williams, Paris, TN, great grandchildren; Jessie Lee Williams, James Joel Joey Williams, Julia Ann Williams, great great grandchild; Cooper Lee Williams. Mrs. Coursey was preceded by parents; Charlie and Lela Key Peery. Mrs. Coursey was a member of the Nazarene Church, in Paris, TN, since 1930. She was called The Pie Lady as she made pies for the Tower Restaurant; even after the restaurant closed she continued to make pies for people in the community.
