Peggy Joyce Buie

Peggy Joyce Buie, age 88, passed away Tuesday, September 1, 2026, at her residence in Cottage Grove, TN. Funeral Services will be conducted on Friday, September 4, 2026, at 3:00 PM at McEvoy Funeral Home in Paris, TN, with Bro. Randy Stephens officiating. Burial will follow at Walker Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday beginning at 1:00 PM until service time. Serving as pallbearers will be Dylan Singleton, Randy Stagner, and David Alexander.

Peggy was born in Springville, TN, to Chester and Annie Allen Stagner, both of whom preceded. On May 29, 1957, she married James Paul Buie, who preceded her on November 27, 2018.

She is survived by three daughters: Reva Jean Green of Paris, Dana Davis of Ecuador, and Tina Lyn Buie of Paris; one son, Terry Buie of Murray, KY; two brothers, Bob Stagner and Bill Stagner, both of Florida; Grandchildren: Jeremy Buie, Keri Ann Robinson, and Dylan Lyn Singleton; great-grandchildren: Decker Robinson and Jacob Cantrell.

She was a Seventh–day Adventist. She loved her flowers and garden. Peggy was a friend to everyone she met and found good in everyone.
