Peggy Holland Raymer, age 78 of Paris, Tennessee passed away on Friday, May 19, 2023 at her son's residence in Cottage Grove. Her funeral service will be 3:00 P.M. Saturday, May 20, 2023 at the Apostolic Chapel in Paris with Joel Turner officiating. Burial will follow the service in Pleasant Hill Methodist Church Cemetery in Benton County. Family members and friends will serve as pallbearers. Visitation is scheduled on Saturday at McEvoy Funeral Home from 12:00 until 2:30 P.M. prior to leaving for the church service scheduled for 3:00 P.M. Peggy June Holland Raymer was born June 30, 1944 in Camden, Tennessee to the late Dolphus McClain and the late Pauline Ward McClain. She married Billy Holland on June 25, 1961 and he preceded her in death. Peggy married Charles Raymer, Sr. on April 13, 2003 and he survives in Paris. She is also survived by her son, Carlton (Becky) Holland of Cottage Grove; grandson, Sean Holland of Cottage Grove; sister, Norma (Fred) Patterson of Camden; by numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. Besides her parents and a husband, Peggy is also preceded in death by a grandson, Scotty Holland (preceded: 2006), a sister, Trudy McClain and brother and sister in law, Jimmy (Barbara) McClain.
