Philip A. McMurray, age 51 of McKenzie, TN passed away Sunday October 25, 2015 at the McKenzie Regional Hospital in McKenzie, TN. Funeral service 10:00AM Friday October 30, 2015 at McEvoy Funeral Home with Bro. Bobby Campbell of Central Point Baptist Church officiating. Visitation 4:00 - 8:00PM Thursday and after 9:00AM Friday. He was born October 16, 1964 in Sarasota, FL to the late Leon A. and Carma Louise Dunnavan McMurray and was formerly married to Tonia Houston Atkinson, Paris, TN. Survived by a daughter: Shelby McMurray, Paris, TN; son: Brandon McMurray, Paris, TN; sisters: Leone (Quin) Winburn, Bradington, FL, Melody McMurray, Bradington, FL; brothers: Richard (Frances) McMurray, Bradington, FL, Joe (Patricia Rittmanic) McMurray, Henry, TN and several nieces and nephews. Philip was a 1982 graduate of Stewart County High School. He worked with Dana of Paris, was a volunteer fireman and did automotive mechanic work for years in this area. Philip enjoyed music, playing his banjo, horseback riding and animals. A family member said that he was always willing to help someone in need anytime.
