Philip "P.J." Rainey, age 33 of Martin, Tennessee passed away on Monday, November 19, 2018 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. His funeral will be 10:00 A.M. Saturday, November 24, 2018 at Jolley Springs Baptist Church with Derek Frazee and Brian Page to officiate. Burial will follow the service in Birds Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Named as pallbearers are: Kyle Parham, Michael Brundige, Brent Caldwell, Bruce Slusser, David Mullins, Trey Brown, Aaron Vaughn, and Shannon Cashion with honorary pallbearers: Ricky Seals, Casey Vernon, Glenn Stofleth, Timmy Miles, Carl Morgan, and Danny Ray Morgan. P.J. Rainey was born on May 21, 1985 in Murray, Kentucky to the late Philip W. Rainey and Shelly Gladstone Rainey, who survives in Springville, Tennessee. He is also survived by his sister: Jenifer (Joey) Robertson of Paris, Tennessee; grandparents: Virginia (Ronnie) Cox of Springville and Delores Gladstone of Michigan; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Besides his father, P.J. is also preceded by three grandparents: James Gladstone and W.D. (Elaine) Rainey. P.J. was a member of Jolley Springs Baptist Church. He was a very avid hunter, especially a duck hunter. He also was a duck hunting and fishing guide. He enjoyed shooting pool, playing poker, football, and loved to make everyone laugh.
