Ray Perry Valentine, age 75, of Paris, TN, died on Saturday, January 15, 2011 at Henry County Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, January 18, 2011 at 12:00 noon at McEvoy Funeral Home with burial to follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday after 10:00 a.m. until service time. Mr. Valentine is survived by long time companion; Kay Melton, Paris, TN, daughters; Marsha (Ken) Banasiewicz, Helena, AL, Terri Melton (Paul Tyler) Memphis, TN, Phyllis Melton (Dana Skaar) Paris, TN, brother; Billy T. Valentine, Paris, TN, grandchildren; Katie, Sarah and Anna Banasiewicz, Micheal (Tabitha) Melton, great grandchildren; Summer and Madison Melton. Perry is preceded by parents; Thomas P. and Elnaray Hinchey Valentine. Mr. Valentine is also survived by a number of cousins. Perry was a graduate of Puryear High School, and owned and operated Mid South Building Supply from 1975-1999. He was a charter member of and past president of Civitan Club, and an active member of Jones Chapel Baptist Church.
