Funeral service 2:00PM Monday at McEvoy Funeral Home with Bro. Charles Cate her nephew officiating, burial will follow at Palestine Cemetery, nephews will serve as pallbearers. Visitation 11:00AM until service time Monday. She was born in Henry, TN to the late Thomas M. and Alma Winbish Cate. She is survived by her husband: Albert Powers, Paris, TN; sisters; her twin Faye Jones, Paris, TN, Sarah Scott, Paris, TN, Martha (Leon) Berlin, Decatur, GA: brother: James (Marie) Cate, Springville, TN; several nieces and nephews. Preceded by her first husband: Bob Neese; two brothers: Edward "Billy" Cate and Reuben Cate. Mrs. Powers was a member of Maplewood Baptist Church. She was a member of the Saddle Club, loved to ride horses and formerly worked at Emerson Electric and Salant & Salant Factory.
