He is survived by his mother; Martha Gazell Nichols Hopkins, Paris, sons; Richard Hopkins, Chicago, David Hopkins and Matthew Hopkins both of Boston, sister; Jeanne Jensen, Tucson and a brother; David F. Hopkins, Arnold, MD. Preceded by his father; Jeremiah (Jerry) Franklin Hopkins May 31, 1996. Richard was a retired CPA in Chicago, Illinois and Jacksonville, Florida moving to Paris in 2005. He received his MBA from Roosevelt University in Chicago, Illinois, was a Presbyterian and a Army Veteran of the Vietnam War.
