Richard Wilbur, age 69, of Paris, Tennessee passed away on Monday, November 18, 2024 at Henry County Healthcare and Rehab. His body is to be cremated and an intimate celebration of life will be planned for a later date. Richard James Wilbur was born August 11, 1955 in Lansing, Michigan to the late Richard L. Wilbur and the late Pauline Davis Wilbur. He married Deanna Hartman Wilbur on August 10, 2009 and she survives in Paris. Richard is also survived by his daughter, Christina (Chris) Nix of Fulton, Mississippi; his son, Jacob Varner of Michigan; by grandchildren, Maverick, Gracie, Ann, Bella, Cayson, Caylee, A.J., and Abigail; and by his sister, Julie of Michigan. Besides his parents, Richard is also preceded in death by his brother, Craig Wilbur. Mr. Wilbur was a U.S. Army Veteran who served in Vietnam. He worked in the restaurant industry for most of his life. Richard was an "old car" enthusiast who loved to ride motorcycles. He also enjoyed putting together models and watching westerns.
