Ricky Dale DeShields, age 56 of Huntingdon, TN passed away Monday, February 11, 2019 at his residence. His funeral service will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, February 13, 2019 at McEvoy Funeral Home with his first cousin Rev. Houston Sills officiating. Visitation will be after 11:00 AM Wednesday prior to the service and his body will be cremated following the service. Ricky Dale DeShields was born February 28, 1962 in Dyersburg, Tennessee to the late Russell Lee DeShields and the late Mary Sue Pollock DeShields. On April 1, 2016 he married Shellie Pilkington DeShields and she survives in Huntingdon, TN. He is also survived by two daughters: Heather Hardin (Terrance "Bank" Morris) of Paris, TN and Jackie Stevens of Covington, TN; one son, Brandon DeShields of Paris, TN; two brothers: Russ "Eric" DeShields and Bill DeShilds both of Paris, TN; seven grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, and friends. Mr. DeShields was a truck driver for Denton Trucking Co. and a former volunteer fire fighter for the Paris Landing Volunteer Fire Department. He was an avid sportsman who loved to hunt and fish and he loved his friends and family. SERVICES
