Ricky Wayne Johnson, age 42 of Puryear passed away Sunday, April 21, 2019 at his residence. His memorial service will be 2:00 PM Thursday, April 25, 2019 at McEvoy Funeral Home with Rev. Tony Smith officiating. Ricky Wayne Smith was born December 17, 1976 in Memphis, Tennessee to the late James Richard Johnson and Barbara Jean Johnson of McKenzie, TN. On September 8, 2018 he married Joyce Francis Johnson and she survives in Puryear. He is also survived by three daughters: Elizabeth (fiance Trey Smith) Johnson of Puryear, Allana Kay (fiance Charles Land) Johnson of McKenzie, and Sidney Fait Johnson of Puryear; one son, James Robert Brumley Johnson of Brighton, TN; one sister, Ruth Ann (fiance Robert Pilkington) Johnson of Henning, TN; one brother-in-law, Jessie Leach of Puryear; seven step-children: Madison and Donnie Boyd of Huntingdon, TN, Tyler, Chris, Jaylin, and Serinity Leach and Jacoby Smith all of Puryear, TN; father-in-law, Gene Leach of Puryear; mother-in-law, Susan Leach of Stanton, TN; Tony and Cindy Smith of Springfield, TN; and several nieces and nephews.
