Rita J. Kajer Camper, age 80 of Paris, Tennessee passed away Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at St. Thomas West Hospital in Nashville. Her graveside service will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday, January 9, 2021 at Puryear City Cemetery with Dr. Dusty Stout officiating. Named as pallbearers are Henry County Sheriff Department employees, Danny Goode, Lowell Boyd, Daniel Powell, Kyle Cronkringht, Adam Kennon and Wade Sanders. Burial will follow services and no public visitation is scheduled.
Rita Kajer Camper was born, November 7, 1940 in North Judson, Indiana to the late Ludimer Kajer and the late Lillian White Kajer. She married Fred Thomas Camper June 4, 1960 and he preceded her in death January 30, 2013. Mrs. Camper is survived by her son, Robert Camper (Donna Snow) of Paris; sisters, Sissy (Lynn) Waggoner of Palmersville and Helen (Joe) Marski of Gary, Indiana; also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents and husband, Rita is also preceded in death by a sister, Tammy Kajer and by brothers, Perry and Leo Kajer.
Rita was a homemaker and a foster parent for twenty five years. She loved children, enjoyed reading and going fishing with her husband in earlier years.
The family requests that memorials be made to: Henry County Sheriff's Dept. Animal Shelter.
