Mr. Robert C. Buddy Callicott, age 77, of Paris, TN, died Sunday, March 13, 2011 at Paris Health Care Center. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, March 16, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. in McEvoy Chapel with burial to follow in Walker Cemetery. Rev. Mike Wimberley will officiate. Visitation will be Tuesday evening at McEvoy Funeral Home from 4-8 p.m. and after 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday until service time. Don Bell, Jimmy Green, Johnny Brown, Ron Davis, Chris Davis and Randy Crutcher will serve as pallbearers. Bill Dumas, Doug Overton, Ted Parrish and Jerry Holmes will be honorary pallbearers. Mr. Callocott married Martha Nell Ross on July 9, 1954. She preceded him in death April 24, 2009. Mr. Callicott is survived by daughters; Vicke (Doug) Mabe, Sanford, NC, Pat (Alan) McConkey, Cottage Grove, TN; Sister Betty (Dan) Paschall, Cottage Grove, TN; Brother in law Ronnie (Polly) Bell, Paris, TN. grandchildren Wendy Cotham Dula, Molly Cotham, Betsy Mabe Riddle, Rachel Mabe, John Mabe, Ian McConkey, Ross McConkey; great-grandchildren Franklin Dula, Walter Mabery, Lily Riddle, Laney Riddle, Sophie Thomas, Chauncey Smith. He also is survived by several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by parents; Robert Sidney and Betty Crutcher Callocott, sisters; Carnell Grubbs, Ann Bell, and a brother; Marvin Callicott. A Navy Veteran, serving in the Korean War on the USS Henrico. Mr. Callicott was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Paris, TN and a Mason in the Cottage Grove Lodge. He was a retired pipefitter, welder, and farmer. He is a graduate of Cottage Grove High School class 1951. He loved his family and was an avid hunter and fisherman who loved having fish frys for family and friends. He was a lover of UT sports.
