Funeral service 11:00AM Thursday at McEvoy Funeral Home with John Palmer, Griffin Road Church of Christ Fort Lauderdale, FL officiating, burial will follow at Henry Cemetery. Named as pallbearers are Troy Buttrey, Lance Winders and Roger Burke. Visitation 4:00 - 7:00PM Wednesday and after 9:00AM Thursday. He was the son of the late Riley and Avie Grainger Chandler. On April 21, 1955 he married Mary Ann Roberts Chandler, she survives in Portland, TN. Survived by a daughter: Meg (Barry) Wolf, Portland; son: Bob Curry (Anita) Chandler, Orlando, FL; sister: Kathlene Ferrell, Apopka, FL; grandchildren: Caleb and Joshua Wolf, Curry, Keighley and Katherine "Katey" Chandler; one niece and two nephews. Preceded by sister: Joy Anderson and three brothers: Sedrick, Theodore and Willie Chandler. Bob was born in the 23rd district and grew up in Henry, was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ, graduate of Henry High School and a U.S. Army Veteran. He graduated from Bethel College and received his Master's degree from Murray State. Taught Physical Education for 30 years in Dade County Public Schools in Dade County, FL.
