Robert J. "Butch" Gowanlock, III

Robert J. “Butch” Gowanlock, III of Paris, TN, passed away on Saturday, July 25, 2026, at his residence. No services are scheduled as requested by Butch.

Robert Gowanlock, III was born on March 30, 1945, in Los Angeles, CA to the late Robert J. Gowanlock, II and the late Laura Stone Gowanlock. He married Cathy Cameron Gowanlock in 1993, and she survives in Paris. Butch is also survived by daughters, Becca Sechrist of Billingham, WA and Laura Hagy of Burney, CA; step-children, Tracy Bruce of McArthur, CA, Deana Gibbons, Paradise, CA, Dawn Renee Scott of New Port, WA and Laurie Ann (Art) Summitt of Clarksville and Jade Eric (Michelle) Alford of Chico, CA; also by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, other family members and friends.

Mr. Gowanlock was a member of Fairview Baptist Church. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing and grilling out with his family. Butch was also known to boast “how wonderful his steaks were”.
