Robert Woodrow Kilpatrick, age 66, of Paris, TN, passed away Monday November 16, 2015 at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville, TN.
Funeral service 11:00AM Thursday November 19, 2015 at McEvoy Funeral Home with Bro. Joe McClure of Open Doors Community Church officiating, burial will follow at Puryear City Cemetery.
Named as pallbearers are Bill Richards, Tim Williams, Jason Hutson, Billy Williams, Jr., Tyler Williams and Kelly Don Curd. Honorary Pallbearers are Tony and Dennis Warner.
Visitation 4:00 - 7:00PM Wednesday and after 9:00AM Thursday until service time.
He was born February 5, 1949 in Hickman, KY to the late Robert G. and Helen Kemp Kilpatrick. On February 28, 1967 he married Linda Williams Kilpatrick, she survives Paris, TN.
Survived by a daughter: Amy (Kelly Don) Curd, Murray, KY; sons: Rob Kilpatrick, Paris, TN, Jamie (Amy) Kilpatrick, Burns, TN, Steven (Tonya) Kilpatrick, Paris, TN, Walter Kilpatrick, Paris, TN; sisters: Linda (Jimmy) Darnell, Wickliffe, KY, Reba Kilpatrick, Gary, IN, Glenda (Debbie Couch) Kilpatrick, Oakland, TN; brother: Larry Kilpatrick, Puryear, TN; grandchildren: Ben Kilpatrick, Weston McBride, Abbigale McBride, Houston, Elizabeth and Madeline Kilpatrick, Logan and Keaton Curd, Rachel and Isabella Kilpatrick, Logan Swor, Kirstyn and Rheagan Jones and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins.
Preceded by two sisters: Judy Kilpatrick and Sandra Swift.
Mr. Kilpatrick was owner/director of Kilpatricks Child Care in Paris, TN and Apple Tree School in Murray, Ky. He was a former member of Puryear Baptist Church and a current member of Open Doors Community Church where he taught Sunday School at both churches. He was an active leader in addressing community needs; frequently he offered a warm meal, friendly conversation and Gods word and guidance. He was also an avid outdoorsman. He was a former member of Puryear Lions Club. He opened his home and his heart to many children throughout the years and raised many of them as his own.
