Mr. Robert G. Mapes, age 66, of Buchanan, Tennessee passed away on Monday, December 10, 2018 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital. His funeral service will be 2:00 P.M. Monday, December 17, 2018 at McEvoy Funeral Home with Pastor Pam Hughes of Lakeside Christian Fellowship to officiate. Burial will follow the service in Antioch United Methodist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be family and friends. Visitation is scheduled at McEvoy on Sunday from 4:00 until 7:00 P.M. and again on Monday after 12:00 P.M. until service time. Robert G. Mapes was born on November 8, 1952 in Elgin, Illinois to the late Robert W. Mapes and the late Mildred Mary Socke Mapes. He is survived by his daughter: Angela Mapes of Louisville, Kentucky; son: Adam Mapes of Buchanan, Tennessee; brother: Wesley (Jeanie) Mapes of Springville, Tennessee; six grandchildren; and a niece: Jessica (James) Morrow of La Center, Kentucky.
