Robert "Bob" Kendall Ramstad, age 84 of Paris, TN passed away Wednesday, May 1, 2024, at Murray Calloway Co. Hospital in Murray, KY. His body is to be cremated and a memorial service will be held at 10:30 am Sunday, May 12th at Christ Lutheran Church, 3235 Hwy 79 South in Paris. Bob was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Paris and was a Vietnam Veteran serving 29 years in the U.S. Navy. He worked with the Kiwanis and the Sea Cadets in Oswego, NY. Robert Kendall Ramstad was born May 17, 1939, in Anaheim, CA to the late Duane Kendall and Norma Caroline Guenzler Ramstad. On May 20, 1961, he married Janet Ann Bowen Ramstad, and she preceded him in death on July 13, 2013. Mr. Ramstad is survived by two daughters: Jean Ramstad and Karen LeBlanc, both of Paris, TN; his son David Ramstad of Paris, TN; five grandchildren: Shiela Medghalchi, Jessica Blevins (Jeremy), Alexandra (Adam)Tucker, Matthew Silvia, and Alegra Ramstad; four great-grandchildren: Kamran Hanna, Layla Dunn, Kendall Blevins, and Adrien Angelopolus; sister, Sally Jo Christensen (Greg) of Crossville, TN; brother, Bruce Horn of Crossville, TN; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Besides his parents and wife, Bob was also preceded in death by a sister, Janice Ryder, and a brother, Dean Ramstad. Arrangements are being handled by McEvoy Funeral Home, PO Box 158, 507 W.
