Robert Louis Witherspoon, age 64 of Henry, TN passed away Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at Vanderbilt Medical Center. A graveside service will be held with burial at Henry County Tabernacle Cemetery on Sunday, December 20th at 2:00 pm. Brother John Smith of Fairview Baptist Church will be performing the services. All friends and family are invited to attend. Please practice social distancing and wear masks if needed. Robert Louis Witherspoon was born June 8, 1956 to the late Robert Buford and Etta Sue Witherspoon. He married Janice (Eggers) Witherspoon on June 27, 1981. He worked for Emerson Electric for 26 years until the factory closed. He then went to work as a Maintenance Tech with Henry County Board of Education where he was currently employed. He loved anything outdoors; fishing, RZR riding, camping and jeep riding are some of the activities he enjoyed. He also liked to do woodworking and always enjoyed growing a garden. He was one of the kindest, gentlest people you would meet. He loved God, family and friends and truly enjoyed life, working hard and having fun. Along with his wife, he is survived by his mother, Sue Witherspoon of Paris; sister, Janice (Tommy) Buckle of Henry; brother, Terry (Jackie) Witherspoon of Paris; brothers-in-law: Mark (Kathleen) Eggers of Saratoga Springs, NY and David (Paula) Eggers of Rochester, NY; and sister-in-law, Lisa (Stephen) Little of Jackson, TN. He is also survived by several nieces, great nieces, nephews, and great nephews. He is also survived by their rescue dog, Maggie who he also loved. Besides his father, he was also preceded in death by two brothers: James Witherspoon and David Witherspoon.
