Robin Clark Mobley was born March 10, 1954 in Memphis Tennessee and departed this life on May 23, 2021 at 67 years of age. Robin was the youngest child of Mary Ruth and Emmett Paul Mobley Jr. of Paris, Tennessee where she spent her childhood with her siblings, Mary Sandra, Emmett Paul III, and Margaret Ann. She loved spending time with her India Road cousins and playing with the gang on Hillcrest Circle. She enjoyed camping with her family, playing the piano and flute, and singing in multiple choirs. She was a fearless little fish in a pool or lake and an active Girl Scout who treasured her time at Camp Hazlewood. Robin, a 1972 graduate of Henry Co High School, earned a BS in Pharmacy from the University of Tennessee in Memphis in 1977. For the next 30 years she worked as a pharmacist in hospital settings in Tennessee, South Carolina, and North Carolina. Her main professional focus and passion was diabetes care and she achieved national certification as a Diabetes Educator and Manager in 2003. In this role she created and provided training for medical students and active physicians across North Carolina and was a frequently requested speaker at professional conferences. Along with the satisfaction and pleasure she found in her work, she enjoyed puttering in her yard, archeological scuba dives in murky SC rivers, raiding friends yards for new specimens for her moss collection, traveling a bit too fast by motorcycle, boat or skis, singing bluegrass, and loving on her menagerie of cats and dogs. Without children of her own, Robin doted on and spoiled her lucky nieces and nephews, who affectionally called her Ra-Ra. Robin leaves behind her sister Margaret and husband CT along with their children Stephanie and Emmett; her brother Paul along with his children Julie, Michael, and Daniel; 4 great-nieces and 1 great-nephew; as well as her beloved Aunt Carolyn and many cousins. Additionally, she leaves behind Patty Schwartzman and Ilse Mobley, her former in-laws and forever friends, and her long-term best friend, Dave Merritt, whose unwavering support and devotion was a gift beyond measure. We will all miss her feisty spirit that carried her through lifes ups and downs. Robin was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Sandra and, most recently, her beloved canine companion, Scooter Boy. We wish we could witness their joyful reunion. A graveside gathering and the internment of ashes will be held at Rose Lawn Memory Garden in the future. Memorial contribution to honor Robins life can be made to the Lewy Body Dementia Association (www.lbda.org) or the American Diabetes Association (www.diabetes.org).
