Mr. Rodney D. Carroll, age 57 of Paris, Tennessee passed away on Tuesday, October 24, 2023 at Henry County Medical Center. His funeral service will be 1:00 P.M. Friday at McEvoy Funeral Home with Roger Veazey officiating. Named as pallbearers are Scott Carroll, Clint Carroll, Matt Tucker, Blake Kettler, Alex Kettler, and D'Angelo Patton. Burial will follow the service in Memorial Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled after 10:00 A.M. Friday until time of service. Rodney Carroll was born October 8, 1966 in Milan, Tennessee to the late James "Richard" Carroll and the late Mary Evelyn Sutton Carroll. He married Kimberly Shell Carroll on January 18, 1991 and she survives in Paris. Rodney is also survived by daughters, Kayla Marie Carroll of Murray, KY and Ashley Nicole Matheny of Paris; grandchildren, Bryson Timothy Kreier of Murray, Aiden Cooper Matheny and Lainey Allison Matheny both of Paris; brothers, Mike (Janice Harrison) Carroll of Henry, Tim (Toni K. Bowden) Carroll of Henry, Tad Carroll of Paris, Pat (Barbara) Carroll of Dickson; brother-in-law, Michael Shell of Phoenix, AZ; sisters-in-law, Darla Tucker of Memphis, Samantha (Mark) Kettler of Paducah, KY, Amanda (Tommy) Polinski of Atwood, Monica (Dallas) Brasfield of Florence, MS; in-laws, Marvin (Vickie) Shell of Medina; also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. Besides his parents Rodney is also preceded in death by his brother, Jeffery Carroll; sister-in-law, Tiffany McBride; and mother-in-law, Jacqueline Brown McBride. Mr. Carroll enjoyed working at the Olmsted Lock and Dam, logging and was a proud member of Operating Engineers Local 181.
