Rose A. Leonard, age 89 of Wingo, KY, formerly of Springville, TN passed away Tuesday, October 15, 2019 at Ray & Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center at Mercy Health in Paducah, KY. Her funeral service will be 2:00 PM Saturday, October 19, 2019 at Mt. Pleasant Mennonite Church, 2345 Almus Road, Wingo, KY 42088 with burial to follow at Walker Cemetery in Cottage Grove, TN. Visitation will be after 11:00 AM Saturday, prior to the service at the church. Pallbearers will be her grandsons. Rose A. Leonard was born December 11, 1929 to the late Henry Walters and the late Lessie Mabel Alls Walters. On November 23, 1944 she married Dewey Herbert Leonard, Sr., and he preceded her in death on December 25, 2006. Ms. Leonard is survived by daughter, Linda Morse of Mulberry, Arkansas; two sons: Dennis Leonard of Wingo, KY and Wallace (Judy) Leonard of Boise, ID; sister, Betty Harris of Virginia; nineteen grandchildren; twenty-nine great grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren. Besides her parents and husband, Ms. Leonard was also preceded in death by one daughter, Mary Sue Leonard (in infancy); three sons: Dewey Herbert Leonard, Curtis Lee Leonard and John Lowe Leonard (in infancy); three sisters: Bessie Virginia, Shelia Alice Alls, and Ada Sue Ellen Cooper; and four brothers: Henry Wiley, Herbert Lawrence, John Wesley, and Jerry Franklin Walters.
