Rose Marie Platt, age 98 of Paris, passed away Tuesday, December 6, 2022, at AHC of Paris. Her funeral service will be graveside at Maplewood Cemetery at 10:00 AM Friday, December 9, 2022, with Dr. Trent Bullock of First Baptist Church in Paris where Marie was a member officiating. Burial will follow the graveside service and there will be no public visitation. Rose Marie Platt was born May 23, 1924, in Henry County, TN to the late Macon Anderson Paschall and the late Annie Darlyne Marshall Parmelee. On February 15, 1942, she married John Edward Platt and he preceded her in death on November 4, 1991. Marie is survived by her daughter, Janice (Charlie) Foust of Paris, TN; two grandchildren: Marshall (Lindsay) Foust of Paris, TN, and Garrett (Elise) Foust of Brentwood, TN; and five great-grandchildren: Annabelle, Bodie, Charlie, Rowen, and Miles. Besides her parents and husband, Marie was also preceded in death by her son, Johnny Platt, who died November 9, 1992; and her brother, Morris Daniel "Mutt" Paschall.
