Roy Franklin Barnhill, age 49, of Paris, TN, died on Tuesday, January 11, 2011, at his residence. His funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, January 15, 2011 at McEvoy Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m. with burial to follow in Shady Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday evening at McEvoy Funeral Home from 4-8 p.m. and after 11:00 a.m. on Saturday until service time. Roy was married on August 25, 1979 to April Gladden Barnhill who survives. Roy is also survived by daughter: Kelsea (Patrick Mo) Reagan, son: Jesse Barnhill, Jonesborough, TN, parents: John Franklin and Ruby Patrum Barnhill, Paris, TN sister: Karen (Max) Middleton, Puryear, TN, father-in-law: Dale A. Gladden and companion Linda Silampa, Buchanan, TN, niece: Nisha Middleton, Puryear, TN. Roy was preceded in death by mother-in-law: Virginia Gladden who preceded September 8, 1992. Roy was a graduate of Henry County High School class of 1979. He was formerly employed by B & B Equipment Company as a truck driver and dispatcher. Roy was an avid deer hunter and enjoyed farming.
