Russell Mathenie, Jr., age 76, of Paris, Tennessee passed away on Friday, March 7, 2025 at his residence. A private burial will take place at Palestine Cemetery. Russell was born February 4, 1949 in Paris to the late Russell Mathenie, Sr. and the late Maudean Wilkinson Mathenie. He is also preceded by his children, Scottie Maverick Mathenie and Russell "Clay" Mathenie; his sister, Brenda Mathenie Magee; and by his brother, Kenneth Gwinn. Russ is survived by his niece, Felecia Harguess; nephews, Robin and Robert Hampton; sister-in-law, Chong Ok "Mona" Gwinn; by other family members and friends. Mr. Mathenie was a U.S. Army veteran who served during the Vietnam War. He worked and retired from Midland Ross/Setco with more than 40 years of service.
