Mr. Sammy Dial Pillow, age 66, of Huntingdon, TN, died Wednesday, March 23, 2011 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Huntingdon. Funeral services will be held Friday at McEvoy Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m. with Dr. Thomas Pillow and Bro. Gary Vick officiating. Burial will follow in Johnsons Chapel Cemetery. Family members will serve as pallbearers. Chris and Clay Pillow will serve as honorary pallbearers. Visitation will be Thursday evening at McEvoy Funeral Home from 5-8 p.m. and after 9:00 a.m. on Friday until service time. Sammy is survived by his wife Carolyn Bailey; they were married July 30, 1970. He is also survived by sons; Jeffery Pillow, Huntingdon, TN, Mark (Crystal) Pillow, Camden, TN, sister; Margaret (Jimmy) Powell, Paris, TN, brother; Dr. Thomas Wright (Jo) Pillow, Collierville, TN, grandchildren; Mason, Chris and Clay Pillow. Parents; Sam Walker and Mary L. Shell Pillow preceded him in death. Sammy was a Navy Veteran, Electrician and member of Calvary Methodist Church.
