Samuel N. Seawright, age 88, of Paris, TN passed away Wednesday November 11, 2015 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital in Jackson, TN. Funeral service 2:00PM Sunday November 15, 2015 at McEvoy Funeral Home with Bro. Otis Hinton officiating, burial will follow at Palestine Cemetery. Visitation 12:00 Noon until service time Sunday. He was born January 19, 1927 in Henry County, TN to the late John Henry "J.H." and Willie Ava Hill Seawright. On April 27, 1946 he married Olena Wimberly Seawright, she preceded August 19, 1994. Survived by daughters: Peggy Chapman, Germantown, TN, Donna (Joe) Sharpe, Norman, OK; son: Mike (Shelia) Seawright, Huntingdon, TN; grandchildren: Travis (Andrea Martin) Chapman, Derek (Kellie) Chapman, Brian (Courtney) Sharpe, Emily Sharpe, Samanta (Mark) Pinson, DeAnn (Michael) Spellings; great-grandchildren: Mason Pinson, McCauley Spellings, McKinley Spellings, Gracie Chapman; nieces: Molly Moultrie, Sheffield, AL, Sandra Gamlin, Paris, TN; nephew: Jimmy H. Kennamer, Mobile, AL. Preceded by a son-in-law: Mike Chapman; sisters: Christine Hopkins, Anne Kennamer, Margaret Seawright, preceded 1918; brother: J.C. Seawright, preceded 1925. Sam was a Methodist and attended Oak Hill Church in Osage. He was a retired pattern maker for clothing manufacturing plants including Salant and Salant until they closed an then he continued working at other local factories.
