Mrs. Sandra Kay Merrell, age 72 of Henry, Tennessee passed away Sunday, February 13, 2022 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital. Her body is to be cremated and a private family celebration of life will be planned for a later date. Sandra Kay Irvin Merrell was born January 10, 1950 in Lynnville, Kentucky to the late C.B. Irvin and the late Treva Wilson Irvin Lawrence. She married Jerry Merrell on June 5, 1987 and he survives in Henry. She is survived by her daughter, Stephanie (Ronnie) Webb of Paris; son, Michael (B.J.) Swatzell of Union City; sister Patrica (Paul) McLoughlin of Athens, New York; brothers: Joe Thomas Irvin of Mayfield and Jimmie Dale Irvin of West Palm Beach, Florida; grandchildren, Zachary (Brittany) Swatzell, Makayla (Jamie) Ham, Emily Swatzell, Dakota (Hannah Jackson) Irvin-Merrell; great grandchildren, Johnathan Ham, Inman Ham, Oakley Swatzell, Mayleigh Merrell and Colton Ham; and by special friends, Deanna Kendall, Stella Nunnley and Holley North. Mrs. Merrell attended the Church of Christ. She loved her family but most especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
