Mrs. Sarah May Frances Evans Mustain, age 87 of Paris, Tennessee, passed away on Monday, July 4, 2022 at NHC Milan. Her funeral service will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday, July 9, 2022 at McEvoy Funeral Home with Bro. Otis Hinson officiating. Burial will follow the service in Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery. Named as pallbearers are, Jerry Cunningham, Duncan Baggett, Thomas Tull, John Tull, Jon Tull and Caden Tull.
Visitation is scheduled on Saturday, after 11:00 A.M. until service time at 2:00 P.M.
Sarah May Frances Evans Mustain was born November 29, 1934 in Henry County, Tennessee to the late Porter L. Evans, Sr. and the late Elly Maybelle Burcham Evans. She married John D. Mustain February 27, 1953 and he preceded her in death October 12, 1997. Sarah is survived by her daughters, Carol Tull and husband Thomas of Paris and Brenda Cunningham and husband Jerry of Bradford, TN; step-daughter, Barbara Page of Paris; step-son, Billy Mustain of Pineville, LA; sister, Sue Carlton of Paris; grandchildren, Tommy Tull, Rachel Baggett and Jon Tull; nine great grandchildren; brothers, Jessie Evans of Puryear and Lynn Evans of McKenzie; also by numerous step-grandchildren and step-great grandchildren, other family and friends.
Besides her parents and husband, Sarah is also preceded in death by her step-son, Jerry Mustain and brothers, R.C. Evans and Porter L. Evans, Jr.
Mrs. Mustain was a longtime active member of Temple Baptist Church. She worked and retired from Salant & Salant, formerly of Paris, with twenty one years of service.
