Scottie Bruce Rainey, age 57 of Henry, TN passed away Wednesday, September 15, 2021, at his residence. His funeral service will be 1:00 P.M. Saturday, September 18, 2021 at West Wood Pentecostal Church of God, 1788 W. Wood St., Paris, TN 38242 and officiated by Terry Kesley and Joe Page. Burial will follow the service in the church cemetery. Named as pallbearers are Ray Taylor, Aaron Forrest, Jason Rice, Will Forrest, Jason Gamlin, Tim Forrest, Terry Rainey and Tommy Kesley. Visitation is scheduled at the church on Friday from 4:00 until 7:00 P.M. and again on Saturday at the church after 10:00 A.M. until service time. Scottie Bruce Rainey was born October 5, 1963 in Paris, Tennessee to the late Bobby Rainey and the late Mary Inez Fletcher Scott Rainey. He married Cindy Offord Rainey on June 11, 1983 and she survives in Henry, Tennessee. Scottie is also survived by his daughter, Elizabeth (Aaron) Harper of Greenfield; grandchildren, Aaron Scott and Ethan William Harper; nieces and nephews, Terry Joe Rainey, Linda Gamlin, Lisa Rice, Shannon Mills and Jonathon Brown. Besides his parents, Scottie is also preceded in death by his sister, Keaby Rainey Braswell (prec. Jan. 2, 2018) and by his brother, Jeff Rainey (prec. June 7, 2016). Mr. Rainey was a longtime active member of West Wood Pentecostal Church of God. He worked as a mechanic supervisor and a CDL instructor for the State of Tennessee. Scottie really enjoyed music and playing in the band "Victory's Voice", playing many benefits and at churches.
